A full-featured anti-virus program — Absolutely free!
Hard to believe? Yes.
First, the good.
- It works on Windows and Linux.
- It offers up-to-date virus definitions.
- It downloads these definitions on a regularly scheduled basis.
- It scans your emails and downloads.
Now the bad.
- No technical support (though it’s pretty straightforward).
- It cannot be used for commercial purposes.
- If you speak a language other than English, you are screwed.
- It’s slow to scan (I schedule it to update and scan at 3 AM, though if you have a laptop or you don’t keep your computer on 24-7, you have to tolerate an unbearably long scanning process).
For zero dollars and zero cents, however, who’s complaining?
